Saint Gervold (or Girowald, or Gerwald, or Gerbaud) is a monk, diplomat of Charlemagne, bishop of Evreux around 785, and abbot of Saint Wandrille from 787. He died in 806 or 807. He was the uncle of Saint Ansegisus whom he tonsured and clerked around 795. Gervold then took him to the court of Charlemagne at Aix-la-Chapelle where he supervised the royal works.

Saint Gervold (ou Gerwald, ou Gerbaud) est un moine, missus dominicus de Charlemagne, évêque d'Évreux vers 785, puis 15e abbé de Fontenelle à partir de 787. Il est mort en 806 ou 807. Il est l'oncle de Saint Anségise qu'il tonsura et fit clerc vers 795. Gervold l'emmena ensuite à la cour de Charlemagne à Aix-la-Chapelle où il supervisa les travaux royaux.
